Dr. Eveline Ankaert is Counsel in our Employment, Pensions & Benefits department and is a member of the Health team.Areas of SpecializationEveline specializes in both individual and collective labor law in general and focuses particularly on the following aspects:Health and well-being at work (including psychosocial risks, harassment, work incapacity, and reintegration processes);Workplace accidents (including prevention and assistance in legal proceedings);Discrimination;Healthcare;HR issues in the public sector.EducationWith seven years of experience as a doctoral researcher and assistant at the Institute of Social Law at KU Leuven, Eveline joined Lydian in February 2012 as a Senior Associate. Eveline obtained her Master's degree in Law from Ghent University and her Ph.D. in Law from KU Leuven in 2012. Her thesis, titled "Application of the Law and the Medical Profession: Assessment of Administrative and Disciplinary Sanctions in Healthcare," was published by La Charte in 2013. Eveline was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2015.Since 2015, Eveline has been a volunteer assistant at the Institute of Labor Law at KU Leuven. In this capacity, she assists master's students in writing their thesis and preparing for advocacy sessions.Eveline is also a lecturer and principal researcher at KU Leuven, where she teaches labor law and social execution law to master's students in law and occupational medicine.To optimally assist clients in health and safety matters, Eveline completed Level III Preventive Advisor training in 2021.
